Giveaway/Contest Rules

1. General Information
WPEO-AM, Peoria, and WPEO-FM, Farmer City conducts contests periodically to engage our listeners and promote community interaction. This Contest Policy outlines the general rules and conditions applicable to all contests conducted by the Station, unless otherwise specified in the rules for a specific contest. By participating in any Station contest, entrants agree to abide by this policy and any specific contest rules provided at the time of the contest.

2. Eligibility

• Contests are open to legal residents of the State of Illinois who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, unless otherwise stated in the specific contest rules.

• Employees of WPEO, promotional sponsors, prize providers, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members are not eligible to participate or win.

• Participants must provide valid identification and meet all eligibility requirements specified in the contest rules.

• Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest within a 30-day period, unless otherwise stated.

3. How to Enter

No purchase or donation necessary to enter or win.

• Mail: Send your full name, address, phone number, and email address to WPEO, 1708 Highview Road, East Peoria, IL 61611, via email to wpeo@wpeo.com and specify it is for the current giveaway.

Limit One entry per person, unless specific giveaway rules specify. Entry must be received before giveaway drawing is held.

4. Prizes

Prizes will be described in the specific giveaway description. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees. Prizes must be claimed within thirty days of notification, unless otherwise specified, or the prize will be forfeited.

5. Winner Selection

Winners will be randomly chosen on the date specified in the specific giveaway. Winners will be notified by phone and email, and must respond within 24 hours, or an alternate winner may be chosen. A valid photo ID and , if applicable, a signed W-9 form may be required.

6. Publicity
By participating, entrants grant the Station permission to use their name, likeness, voice, and/or submitted materials for promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

7. Conduct and Disqualification

The Station reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

• Violates this policy or specific contest rules.

• Engages in fraudulent, disruptive, or unsportsmanlike behavior.

• Tampers with the entry process or operation of the contest.

The Station’s decisions regarding contest administration and winner selection are final.

8. Compliance with Laws

All contests are subject to federal, state, and local laws, including Illinois gaming and consumer protection laws. Contests are void where prohibited or restricted by law. In accordance with FCC regulations, the Station will not conduct contests that require payment or consideration for entry in a manner that violates lottery or gambling laws.

9. Contest Modifications or Cancellation

The Station reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any contest at its discretion due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to technical difficulties, low participation, or events beyond the Station’s control. Any changes to contest rules will be announced on-air, on the Station’s website, or through other appropriate channels.

10. Liability

The Station, its parent company, affiliates, sponsors, and prize providers are not responsible for:

• Lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries.

• Technical failures, including issues with telephone, internet, or broadcasting equipment.

• Injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in the contest or use of a prize.

By participating, entrants release the Station and its affiliates from any liability related to the contest or prize.

11. Privacy

• Personal information collected during contests will be used solely for contest administration and Station promotional purposes, in accordance with the Station’s privacy policy (available at WPEO.com/privacy ).

• The Station will not share personal information with third parties except as necessary to administer the contest or as required by law.
